“Till We Have Built Jerusalem” - First Thoughts

I always try to use the image for my first thoughts that I think was the center of the story, but this episode really was all of their stories. This episode will be the turning point in the story of this season, if not the entire series.
If you’re interested, the title of this episode comes from a poem by William Blake, which is sung as a hymn which has been used in the past for the Labor Party and Women’s Party meetings. It is very fitting when it comes to Promise City, which is reminiscent of the labor movement in the beginning of the 20th century in America, at least to me.
My favorite part of this episode has to be Maia’s “vision” that if Jordan retaliated with war, no one would win. I adore the fact that they are writing her character older, and the fact that she’s willing to lie to make sure that people won’t die.
